Drug "freak out"  is a hot topic for folks stepping into the world of high deductible health plans and HSAs.  At least that is what I am observing, feeling  myself, and even seeing on the forum that lives on this web site (click here and share your own experiences and advice). 

I saw a good blog post today by Paulien Lystuik entitled "Minimizing Your Prescription Drug Costs with a Health Savings Account" which while a little bit girthy is but chocked full of good information on drug cards, generic drugs, price comparisons, international drug purchasing and so forth.

Additionally, we discovered a great site this week for comparison shopping for drugs called healthpricer.com .  They provide comparisons for prescriptions, health supplements, eye care,  beauty products and so forth.   After pricing every drug in my medicine cabinet on their site, I had a converstion with them and got all sorts of lessons on generic drugs, canadian pharmacies, and how their engine works.  As you are looking to become more informed, check them out for sure (you can click here if you like).
