The Big LeBama.

A few postings back we had a little bit of fun parodying Senator McCain and took a lighthearted peek into his approach to defense. Of course, "lighthearted" and "defense" are two words that should almost never be uttered together, unless of course Yosemite Sam is involved, and then it is ok. As you may know, a couple of days ago Senator Clinton challenged Senator Obama to a bowling match, with winner take all for the Presidency. It was actually pretty funny coming from an otherwise humorless candidate. Apparently, while on the stump, Senator Obama went bowling and scored something like a 37. For you golfers out there, a low score in bowling is a bad thing. Anyway, in the spirit of the bowling, there is a terrific film clip I believe embodies America's fascination with Senator Obama. To avoid any confusion, think of "The Dude" (Jeff Bridges) in this sequence as the metaphor for Mr. Obama and America's willingness to suspend reality on what seems to be a very strange trip. And what about that song? It's perfect. Kenny Rogers a million years ago. |
