HSA Passion

If you've ever seen the movie, "Miracle on 34th Street," you may remember Santa Claus, who is working as the Macy's Santa wreaks all kinds of havoc when he sends Macy's customers to Schoenfeld's or Gimbles because Macy's doesn't have what the customers were looking for. The logic being, that if you put forth excellent customer service at all times, you may lose a short term sale, but earn a life time of loyalty. If you haven't seen the movie, you were deprived as a child and should probably have a conversation with your parents about this and all the other wicked things they deprived you of as a youngster. Then, by all means, go rent the movie! At the Gradock Bulletin our lives revolve around HSAs. As such we have the opportunity to speak with a lot of folks involved in and around health care. Today I met this guy, in fact he blogs under the name "myhsaguy," who is just passionate about healthcare. I mean he flat understands HSAs, the state of healthcare in the U.S. today, Consumer Directed Health initiatives, all the politics in front of, next to under and over HSAs. Not only does he understand it, he has been helping individuals and companies for many years truly take control of their health and healthcare spending. The "guy's" name is Scott Borden and he works for a company called OFM Benefits Consulting. OFM is is an independent insurance agency that is highly focused on Consumer Directed Health. They are leading experts on high deductible health plans and health savings accounts. And because they are independent brokers of health insurance they are not locked to a specific insurance provider and can work with you to really understand your needs. As a site dedicated to education, HSAeducator.com is all about the basics of HSAs and making the process of understanding easy and as pain free as possible. We try to do it with a sense of humor and with a good spirit. One place, where we are not as good (yet) as we would like to be, is connecting people interested in HSAs with folks like Scott. Sure we have a link to eHealth insurance on this site but it is not dedicated to HSAs, and we're building a referral program to align individuals and companies who are looking for new, efficient and effective health solutions with folks like Scott, but our Rome was not built in a day. If you have a need and have got a minute, check them out. Tell ‘em the guys at Macy's on 34th sent you. |
