Tribute To The Godfather

If you read our articles several months back, you will know we are not referring to Marlon Brando, but rather the late, great Godfather of Soul, Mr. James Brown.  The folks at the Gradock Bulletin (or the folk more specifically in this case) is a big James Brown fan.  I never met the man, although some friends got me some autographs for me, I saw him in concert a couple of times as well as during the 1970s when he would periodically appear at UGA football games and fire up the crowd with his infamous “Dooley’s Junkyard Dogs.”

Now if you dig HSAs, you are not doubt wondering what this has to do with health savings accounts, high deductible health plans, consumer directed health or healthcare in general.  Pretty much nothing, other than the man could flat dance.  Even up until the days right before he died, so there was something he was doing right to balance all his earlier transgressions.

Although the Godfather has his detractors and he had is own challenges with various demons, I’d like to put forward that his heart, his soul, and his music celebrated life and promoted good health.   To this end I would like to point out a few classics in the form of the video below and recommend you do your own exploration into music you can use to help you live a healthier life.  Live Well!
