COBRA 101

If you stumbled upon this edition of The Gradock Bulletin, and you are a Shelby Cobra fan, other than the photo below, this article is not for you.

2006 Shelby GT-H

The above photo if you’re curious, is a 2006 Shelby GT-H, one of 500 produced by the Hertz Corporation to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their introduction of the original Hertz 1966 Shelby GT-H.
A terrific marketing idea and way sexier than COBRA insurance.

If you have recently left your job, or are thinking about doing so, you may find yourself staring into the eye of the COBRA.
In which case you are facing a decision carry employers COBRA plan or go out and find individual health insurance.

For a great overview of
COBRA, please click on this link which will shoot you over to an article by “My HSA Guy,” Scott Borden, an HSA expert, who, in his article has done a nice job of outlining the pros and cons of COBRA.

If you want to read about an individual’s personal experience with COBRA, click here and read “Indiana Jones,” which outlines Gradcock’s own journey (humorous rant) into the mouth of the COBRA beast.

If you’re interested in fast cars, you might check out E-Bay or better yet, give Hertz a call.
Oh, and one more thing, if you are a real Shelby Cobra enthusiast, and you have read this far, we know what our error in our photo selection, but you have to admit, it is one cool car!
