Leapin’ Lizard Mr. Wizard

Chapter 6 - I’m gonna get me one of them things. An HSA that is. Now I’m not going to go into a lot of details of why they make sense. The benefits are outlined on this website by folks who are way more articulate, know a lot more about them, and are certainly more succinct than I. I’m going so see for myself, based on my family’s needs, how much I can save over that friggin’ COBRA plan, I have and how far I can stretch my hard earned dollars.

I once got a fortune cookie that said, “A thrifty man is a free man,” and my friends will tell you that I sometimes describe myself as the cheapest man on earth. Some of the principles of thriftiness have even rubbed off on them. One of my best buddies for example, after having observed the master for many years, recently took it to a new level. He discovered that you can actually feed a family of five at Disney World for $8 by making liberal use of Disney’s well stocked condiment stations. Oh and the joy of saving $$. Clark Howard, America’s consumer guru’s got nothing on me except for the fact he’s written loads of books, has a syndicated radio show, and has managed to make a great living “on the cheap.” Well, maybe he does have something on me….. Oh yeh, I am a thrifty man. But I am veering way off course now.
