Your HSA is used to pay for Medical expenses. From what I understand, if you get dental work done and you have out-of-pocket expenses, regardless of who the insurer is (if there is even an insurer), you can use that money (as long as it's a medically necessary procedure). Of course, check YOUR contract with the health insurer or the bank your HSA is set up with to find out.
