kids and pulled an AFLAC. I made like the guy in the commercial who takes a ride on his ladder from the roof of his house to the bushes below. The primary difference being, in my case there were no bushes, just dirt. That said, it's nice to know that if I wanted to try an alternative treatment on my sometimes bothersome neck, I can head on down to the "House of Acupuncture" and pay for it with funds from my HSA. If I were freaked out over the prospect of needles, I could go see Dr. Flikfinger, my local Chiropractor or even look up a local Christian Science practitioner for some of their advice.
The list of qualifying medical expenses is actually rather girthy and while entertaining in places, is for the most part rather dry. There is a good list on this site you can check out for yourself: or you can go look at the IRS's site for a more full explanation of what's in and what's out in terms of what qualifies. Those are both pretty good guides, but not definitive as the list is changing and has changed over time.
